Siddharth Koirala’s entry into the world of Bollywood was disastrous to say the least. Otherwise how could one explain the brother of Manisha Koirala to be starring in a film called Fun - Can Be Dangerous, sometimes that was neither dangerous nor fun or titillating? Instead it was nothing more than a vulgar show-off about some bizarre wife swapping tale that put off even it’s target audience.

Along with rest of the starcast, Siddharth was poor too when it came to performance and everything about the film was panned. More than a year passed by and nothing really happened on the career front for Siddharth, until Manish Jha of ‘Matrabhoomi’ fame signed him for his next film.

Titled ‘Anwar’, the film is a social and makes Siddharth take a complete about turn as he acts in a film that is closer to reality. Nauheed Cyrusi is his female co-star while sister Manisha makes an appearance too.

With most of its shooting conducted in Wai [Maharashtra], the film comes with a rustic flavor and now it’s all upto Siddharth to see if he has taken maximum advantage of the platform provided to him to actually perform.
