Madhavan-Vidya: Kiss in the rain
1,214 ViewsMadhavan may be having a smallish role in mentor Mani Rathnam’s masterpiece ‘Guru’ but his efforts in losing volumes of weight is admirable. His man-to-boy look is refreshing. As an honest reporter he impresses one and all. But in a romantic aside he steals a few moments of rain to plant a full-on kiss on Vidya Balan’s lips. That scene comes as a surprise as Balan isn’t known to be open about letting his mouth being shut by someone else.
Vidya Balan plays a character which is challenged by Multiple Sclerosis. Her fate is resigned on a wheel chair. Madhavan gives her hope and reasons for her life to attain a semblance of fulfillment. The kiss has been handled sensitively by the camera angles. And the free-flowing rain near the touching distance of the sea gives the ambience a sober feeling.
Wonder if Vidya shall be offered more such kisses in her future films too?

I do agree on this. The rain made the kiss look so so so WET. And I too liked Madhavan’s new look. He has shed a lot of charbi. Must have visited a good panel-beater to look that good.
Seems that kisses are fast becoming an integral part of all Bollywood movies these days. And producers are cashing on it… And why not ??? Audience demand for it. But this kiss too like the others before it (including the Aishwarya Bachchan and Hrithik Roshan kiss of Dhoom 2) is nowhere near the kissing scenes of the SERIAL KISSER EMRAN HASHMI. He puts his whole life into the scene and smooches like he is going to bite off his partner’s lips for good !!!

Vidya Balan Smooches And Changes Her Image !!!
While the industry is abuzz speculating on the chemistry between Abhishek Bachchan and Aishwarya Rai, off-screen and onscreen (in Guru), someone else from the cast of Guru is basking in the glory of all the sizzle in the film. No it’s not Mallika Sherawat but the striking Vidya Balan.
Right from Parineeta to Lage Raho Munnabhai, we have known Vidya Balan as the beautiful girl-next-door. But her traditional girl image might change with her next film Guru where she has a smooch scene. She has a lip-lock with R. Madhavan in the film.
This is the first onscreen kiss for Vidya. In the film, Madhavan proposes to Vidya and this is followed by a kiss. Interestingly, Madhavan had a similar scene with Soha Ali Khan in Rang De Basanti in which they both kiss after Madhavan proposes Soha to marry him.
So while the Hrithik-Aishwarya smooch in Dhoom 2 was talked about more than anything else in the film, will Abhishek miss out in Guru too, with the Vidya-Madhavan kiss generating more hype? Only time will tell…
